I am truely disgusted with what is going on at that university. Paterno knew and the whole administration needs to step down. Paterno tried to sweep it away but did not work. If he is able to coach a football team, he is old enough to accept responsibility. This is beyond football and there is so much I could write about but I would be ranting and raving...hope Sandusky gets his. Monster! Ass-raping 10 year old boys!!!

I skimmed through the PDF from the PA Attorney General and the grand jury, and it's all disgusting and sickening. I only got through a few pages before I had to stop. In my opinion, the NCAA should get involved--because this oozes lack of institutional control if I've ever seen it. They need to ban anyone having anything to do w/covering for Sandusky from coaching an NCAA sport ever again, or for the higher-ups--banning them from any athletic dept position for life.

Not making this a Miami thing, but I've got to say--after hearing about this...does anyone think that "Boats and Hoes" are that bad now, in comparison to Sandusky having anal sex with little boys?

Theres really not much else to add to whats already been said. Really McQueary should have done more than he did. Paterno, should have done way more than he did, and it only gets worse as it goes up the chain. Really, Paterno should be charged if the others in administration are as well. In the testimony to the grand jury, he basically refutes McQueary's testimony as far as details go. So if you have a case against administration, for perjury of information Paterno told them, it would seem like you would either have to have a case against Paterno as well, or nothing holds weight with the administration.

The NYT is reporting that Paterno will be forced out and the announcement will come in as short as a few days or as many as a few weeks.

There was a really good article on Grantland last night about the PSU situation. It was wrote by a guy who grew up there. He went to high school with Paternos son, Sanduskys son, and McQueary. I can kind of understand McQueary being put in an even odder situation now, but it still doesn't excuse it. Basically, he witnessed not only an associate in the coaching staff doing a heinous act, but it was also a former coach of his, and father of one of his HS friends. That really has to make you extremely uncomfortable, but doesn't mean you can't step up and stop an violent action against a minor from continuing.

I would like to think that I would go in and just beat the brakes off of him right then and leave him laying there in convulsions if I were McQueary. At the same time with all the different affiliations you have had with this person your whole life as Stripes pointed out and couldn't even conceive of him doing such it would be an extremely odd situation.

Well, I think Paterno is heading out at the end of the season. Sad to go out like this but you know here is something else that is sad...all those students marching in support of Paterno..but not one student has stepped up and said anything about the victims and PATERNO is the only one there that has offered any rememberance of the victims and offered support or prayers. It's like not anyone cares about the victims and still worried about a damn game of football. I feel Paterno is a good man and helped shape a lot of young guys lifes and I feel he is trying to do the right thing...now. I just hope he continues to mention the victims and offer support for them and come out and say that this is bigger than football.
